Wii Controlled House

April 10th, 2007 by awesty

This guy has made a flash GUI on his Nintendo Wii that can control stuff in his house.

The heart of this control system is a custom script written in PHP that does all of traffic directing. A mysql database holds command sets and ip addresses for each device, and forwards the appropriate status signals to the Flash GUI. Simple button press events in flash trigger PHP scripts which blink the IR emitters, and communicate with the lighting controller.

Yea, that would be pretty cool if they sold it. But you would probably have to modify all the lights and stuff you want to control in your house. :\

I knew a guy on a forum who bought this thing for his computer that could control his lights :P
