Long time, No post

December 16th, 2007 by awesty

It’s been a looooooooong time since I have posted anything. Mainly because I have been busy making a new game and beating guitar hero :P. I have 6 weeks off school though so I should be able to start posting tutorials again.

Just to prove that I haven’t just been procrastinating here are some screen shots for the game I am making called Enragement.

There isn’t really much gameplay yet. I have practically finished the level editor, but all I have done in the game is some collision detection and movement. The graphics are just temporary so if someone wants to make some better ones feel free.

I love your tutorials on Flash. however now that I’ve conquered Flash I want to start something more challenging. I’ve learned PHP and Actionscript 2.0 is C# too much of a leap? Where can i get the platform? Where should i start?

If you have a good understanding of programming basics, variables, logic etc C# would be a good move. First you will need to download a framework to start programming with, Microsoft has a free version called ‘C# express’ then you can also get the XNA framework if you would like to start developing good quality games but you will also need the DirectX SDK which is also free from microsoft.

I am going to write some tutorials for it soon.

There are a few difference that take a while to get used to but once you figure it out you won’t want to look at actionscript again. :D

Well it’s not going to be as big as I initially thought.

It will only have about 45 minutes gameplay.

I am working on something cooler at the moment.
